I sent the following to the 3 reps in my district:

Please do not certify the flawed governor election

Dear Mr. McIntire

I'm writing to you as a lifetime Seattleite and a graduate of the University of Washington. In the time I have lived here, I have not seen a more bitterly contested political race. I am immensely disappointed by the level of partisan bickering brought about by this governor's election.

Ultimately, I am concerned that our governor will not be decided by the People, but rather, by powerful lawyers. This is unacceptable to me, as a citizen of the greatest democracy in the world.

I strongly urge you NOT certify the flawed governor election, and to find an alternative way to find, and represent the voice of the people in your state.

I view it as the responsibility of our representatives to find and execute a method where the desires and interests of the People are counted, rather than the goals of powerful lawyers and politicians.

Thank you sincerely for your time in reading this.

Best,
Andrew

Engadget - Bionic trousers help people walk Wow this is pretty cool. It doesn't say who it's intended to help but hopefully this technology will be used to help not just our military so they can run around like they're playing a mechassult game, but also to help people who can't walk or have difficulty walking. Maybe you will use it when you get old instead of this Hoveround

Yahoo! News - Brainy women face handicap in marriage stakes: British survey Uh, can we please not confuse correlation with causation again? Dumbass AFP. All the study says is that high IQ in women tends to correlate with lower probability for marriage. It could be that both correlate with a more indepedent attitude, or that they typically live in urban areas where marriage is perhaps not as important, etc., etc. Embarassing statistics.
